A RESOLUTION relating to the reorganization of the Community Development
Department by creating two departments from its component
parts.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That effective January 1, 1980, the Community Development
Department shall be separated into two separate departments. The title
of the department head for one of these departments shall be "Director
of Public Works/City Engineer." The responsibilities of this department
head shall be to direct the public works operation of the city including
streets, water and sewer, and the equipment pool and to further- serve
as a city engineer.
The title for the other department head shall be "Community
Development Director/City Planner." The responsibilities of this
department head shall be to direct the building inspection division
and the city planning division and the responsibilities associated
therewith.
Each department and department head shall be responsible to the
city manager who shall make such specific directions as are consistent
in carrying out the duties described herein.
