HomeMy WebLinkAbout1277 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 1277 WHEREAS, there exists within the City of Pasco the following described unincorporated territory containing less than one hundred acres and having at least 800 of its boundaries contiguous to the City of Pasco, and therefore constituting an unincorporated island more than 80% surrounded by the City of Pasco, and WHEREAS, there resides as nearly as can be determined within the following described area no voters, and WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interest of the City of Pasco to initiate the process pursuant to R.C.[9. 35A.14.295, et seq.,. by which to annex said hereinafter described area to the City of Pasco, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That the City of Pasco will annex the .following described property: The east half of the southeast quarter of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter and the east half of the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter, all lying northerly of primary state highway number 3 right-of-way and within Section 25, Township 9 North, Range 29 East, "situated in Franklin County, Washington. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing on the proposed. annexation of the above described area will be held on Monday, the Srh day of NnvPmh�r , 1979, at 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Pasco City Hall, 412 West Clark, Pasco, Washington, at which time all interested persons are invited to appear and voice approval or disapproval of the proposed annexation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city clerk of the City of Pasco give notice of said hearing by publishing this resolution at least once a week for two weeks prior to the date of said hearing in one or more newspapers of general circulation within the City of Pasco and one or more newspapers of general circulation within the area to be annexed, all in a manner provided by law.
