A RESOLUTION declaring a policy that all future appointees to
boards, commissions, or other administrative,
regulatory, or advisory groups be residents of the
city of Pasco.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasco is elected
solely be residents of the city of Pasco, its members must be
residents of the city of Pasco, and its duty is to represent the
interests of the city of Pasco; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasco has occasion
to appoint individuals to various boards, commissions, or other
administrative, regulatory, or advisory groups; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That is is the policy of the City Council of the City of Pasco
that when it has the sole authority to appoint an individual to any
local board, commission, or other administrative, regulatory, or
advisory group, that any individual appointed or reappointed shall
be a resident of the city -of Pasco and shall continue to be a
resident during his or her term of office in order to remain
eligible to continue in office.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 4 day
of December 1978.
