WHEREAS, the City of Pasco is required by the Inter -Agency
Committee for Outdoor Recreation to have a Comprehensive Park and
Recreation Plan in order to be eligible for state and federal
funding, and
WHEREAS, the city finds it is in the city's best interest to
adopt such a Comprehensive Park and Recreation Plan, for purposes of
obtaining funding and for proper planning of leisure facilities and
programs for Pasco citizens, and
WHEREAS, the city has caused a Comprehensive Park and Recreation
Plan to be prepared, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the certain Comprehensive Park and Recreation System
Plan presented the 10th day of July, 1978, and prepared by The O.R.B.
Organization with the cooperation and assistance of the Park and
Recreation Staff, Park and Recreation Advisory Council, the city
manager and concerned citizens, be and the same is hereby adopted as
the official Park and Recreation System Plan for the city, and that
this Park and Recreation System Plan be and is designated as_a component
of the entire City Comprehensive Plan as now exists or hereafter is
amended.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 18 day
of September , 1978.
