HomeMy WebLinkAbout1186 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 1186 A RESOLUTION of the City of Pasco, Washington, declaring its intention to order the improvement of 15th Avenue between Court Street and Cartmell within the City of Pasco, Washington, to City standards by grading, installing curbs, gutters and necessary sidewalks, base rock, leveling courses, asphalt concrete surfacing, and all incidental work and to create a Local Improvement District to assess that portion of the cost and expense associated with residential street improvement standards against the property specially benefited thereby and notifying the persons who may desire to object to said improvement to appear and present their objections at a meeting of the City Council to be held on August 7, 1978. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, to order street construction consisting of storm drains, curbs, gutters, necessary sidewalks, base rock, leveling course, asphalt concrete surfacing, and all incidental work on the following streets in the City of Pasco, Washington, to -wit: 15th Avenue from Court to Cartmell Street BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the total cost of such improvement to residential street standards shall be borne by and assessed against the properties specially benefited by such improvement to be included in the Local Improvement District to be established embracing as near as may be all of the property specially benefited by such improvement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, to create a Local Improvement District to include for the purpose of assessing properties within the boundaries described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of Court Street and at the center of the north -south alley of Block 23 of the Pasco Improvement, thence easterly on center line of Court Street to the center of north -south alley of Block 24 of the Pasco Improvement, thence southerly along center line of said alley to the center line of Cartmell Street, thence westerly on said center line to the center line of the north -south alley in Block 23 of the Pasco Improvement, thence northerly along said center line to the point of beginning, together with all vacated streets, alleys and portions thereof legally attached to the above described parcels. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all persons who may desire to object to the improvements herein mentioned are hereby notified to appeal and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council, to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Pasco, Washington, at -a- 8:00 p.m., on August 7, 1978, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing matters relating to said proposed improvements and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for said improvements. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that James S. Ajax, City Engineer, is hereby directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to August 7, 1978, all data and information required by law to be submitted.
