HomeMy WebLinkAbout1142 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 1142 WHEREAS, the Tri -City Hospital Council, made up of the represent- atives of the three hospitals in the Tri -City area, jointly financed a study of acute care hospital services in the Tri -Cities, and WHEREAS, this study and report, published in September, 1977, made a number of recommendations which included retaining three hospitals, planning for two hospitals or having one centrally located hospital, thereby eliminating the three present hospitals in the Tri -Cities, and WHEREAS, the primary recommendation of the Tri -City Hospital - Council financed study was one centrally located hospital, and WHEREAS, should the primary recommendations of the study be carried out, it would mean only one hospital to service the Tri -Cities, probably to be located in Benton County, and leaving the entire population of Franklin.County without a hopsital; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That in order to meet the health needs of Franklin County and the City of Pasco, the City of Pasco favors a two hospital concept, with one hospital located in Franklin County.
