HomeMy WebLinkAbout1130 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO.Z1,3 0 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PETITION OF INITIATING PARTIES FOR PROPOSED ANNEXATION. r WHEREAS the owners of more than 10% of value, according to the assessed valuation for general taxation, of the property hereinafter described have here- tofore filed with the Council of the City of Pasco their notice of intention to commence annexation proceedings to the City of Pasco of the said property, and WHEREAS the City Council on July 19, 1977, held a meeting with the initiating parties pursuant to R.C.W. 35A.14.120 to determine whether the City of Pasco will accept the proposed annexation and whether it shall require the assumption of existing adoption of a comprehensive plan for said area, and WHEREAS at said meeting it has been determined by the City Council that the City will accept said proposed annexation for consideration and will require the simultaneous adoption of a comprehensive plan, will waive the assumption of existing City indebtedness, and that the City will accept said property in low density zoning classification mutually acceptable to the petitioner action of the City Council by the adoption of this Resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That the City of Pasco, Washington, accept for filing the petition for the proposed annexation of the property legally described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of Block 4, Hull -Lee Subdivision, as recorded in Volume "C" of Plats, page 68, records of Franklin County, Washington; thence south 2°00'48" west along the east margin of County Road No. 32 a distance of 80.40 feet; thence south 87°59'12" east 200.00 feet; thence due south 116.92 feet to a line which is parallel with and 30 feet northerly from (when measured at right angles to) the north margin of Court Street as shown on Washington State High- way Department Right -of -Way Plan, Primary State Highway No. 3, Columbia River to Snake River, sheet 6 of 33 sheets, approved January 8, 1963, . revised December 3, 1963, and the true point of beginning; thence north ws 88120'39" east along said parallel line 355.39 feet to the westerly -•- right-of-way of Primary State Highway No. 3 as shown on said highway plan; thence North 4°59'54" east along said westerly right-of-way 184.80 feet; thence north 41°59'54" east along said right-of-way 13.00 feet to the south margin of Ruby Street; thence north 88°58'21" west along said south margin 577.10 feet to the point of beginning. Being a portion of the land described and conveyed in that certain STATUTORY WARRANTY DEED, dated August 16, 1966, from F. ROBERT LEE, Executor of the Estate of Ray B. Lee, and H. Audrey Lee, Grantors, to HUMBLE OIL & REFINING COMPANY, a Delaware corporation, and recorded in the County of Franklin, Washington, in Volume 130, Pages 534 and 535. The above legal description together with that portion of Court Street adjacent to the south 355.39 feet of the above said property to comprise the total parcel submitted for annexation.
