A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE PASCO-KENNEWICK INTERCITY
BRIDGE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF PASCO TO EXPEND FUNDS
FOR THE PURPOSE OF RELOCATING POWER TRANSMISSION LINES.
WHEREAS as part of the right-of-way acquisition for the
Pasco -Kennewick Intercity Bridge, the Cities purchased heretofore a
parcel of land from Pacific Power & Light Company in which was contained
electrical transmission lines of the company that have to be relocated
prior to the completion of the Kennewick approach to the above referenced
bridge, and
WHEREAS the Cities have heretofore agreed to bear the necessary
expense in connection with the movement of the electrical transmission
lines contained therein, and
WHEREAS the State of Washington Highway Department and the
Federal Highway Administration have given their approval to the expend-
iture funds for such purpose and have indicated that the costs incurred
in the relocation of the transmission lines are eligible for federal
aid reimbursment as part of the original right-of-way acquisition, for
which was set aside $330,000.00, of which $14,056.27 remains, and
WHEREAS it is recommended by the Project Administrator of the
Pasco -Kennewick Intercity Bridge that $16,000.00 be approved for the
actual relocation work of the transmission lines to cover the costs
to be incurred by Pacific Power & Light Company; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City of Pasco authorize and hereby does authorize
the expenditure of up to $16,000.00, including federal participation
share of 79.550 of actual expenditures, for the relocation of
electrical transmission lines of Pacific Power & Light Company in right-
of-way parcel 5-00303 in accordance with the approved plans and
specifications on the Pasco -Kennewick Intercity Bridge, that expenditure
of said funds is to be on a reimbursable basis after completion of the
required work and that the City of Pasco reserves the right to review
the costs in detail prior to actual payment and/or to request an audit
report verifying the invoiced overhead rates.
