WHEREAS there exists within the City of Pasco the following
described unincorporated territory containing less than 100 acres
and having at least 800 of its boundaries contiguous to the City
of Pasco, and
WHEREAS there resides as nearly as can be determined within
the following described area 30 voters, and
WHEREAS it appears to be in the best interest of the City of
Pasco to initiate the process pursuant to R.C.W. 35A.14.295, et seq,
by which to annex said hereinafter described area, to the City of Pasco;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO:
That the City of Pasco will annex the following described
property:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of SW1/4 of SW1/4 of
SE1/4 of Section 24, Township 9 North, Range 29 E.W.M.,
said point being the true point of beginning; thence
west to the point of.intersection with the west right of
way line of SR -12; thence southwesterly along the west
right of way line of SR -12 to a point, said point being
the SE corner of Lot 1, Block 4, Hull -Lee subdivision7
thence south to a point on the northwesterly right of way
ine of SR -12; thence southeasterly and southerly along the
west right of way line of SR -12 to a point of intersection
with the east -west centerline of the NW1/4 of Section 25,
Township 9 North, Range 29 E.W.M., thence east along the
east -west centerline of the NW1/4 of Section 25, Township
9 North, Range 29 E.W.M., to the east line of said NW1/4;
thence south along the east line of the NW1/4 of Section
25, Township 9 North, Range 29 E.W.M., a distance of 30
feet to the point of intersection with the south right of
way line of Henry Street; thence east along the south right
of way line of Henry Street to the east right of way line of
Road 26; thence north along the east right of way line of
Road 26 to the south right of way line of Marie Street;
thence east long the south right of way line of Marie
Street to the east line of the W1/2 of W1/2 of E1/2 of
NW1/4 of NW1/4 of Section 25, Township 9 North, Range 29
E.W.M., thence north to the point of intersection with the
east -west section line dividing Section 24, Township 9
North, Range 29 E.W.M., and Section 25, Township 9 North,
Range 29 E.W.M., thence westerly along the south line of
the SE1/4 of Section 24, Township 9 North, Range 29 E.W.M.
to the SW corner of the SW1/4 of said section; thence
northerly along the west line of the SE1/4 of Section 24,
Township 9 North, Range 29 E.W.M., to a point, said point
being the true point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that .a public hearing on the proposed
annexation of the above described be held on Monday, the 21 day of
.November, , 1977, at 8:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the
City of Pasco, at which time all interested persons are invited to
appear and voice approval or disapproval of the proposed annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the City of Pasco
give notice of said hearing by publishing this Resolution at least
once a week for.two weeks prior to the date of said hearing in one or
more newspapers of general circulation within the City of Pasco and
one or more newspapers of general circulation within the area to be
annexed, all in a manner provided by law.
