HomeMy WebLinkAbout1020 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 1020 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PASCO NAMING THE PARK LOCATED SOUTH OF LEWIS STREET AND BETWEEN THIRD AND FOURTH AVENUES. WHEREAS, a new park is being constructed in the City of Pasco between Third and Fourth Avenues south of Lewis Street; and WHEREAS, the City of Pasco desires to name this park in honor of an outstanding citizen of this City; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Noburu Fukuda is a distinguished citizen of this City and has done much to improve the City through his good will and to beautify the City through his voluntary and dedicated hard works; and WHEREAS, Noburu Fukuda is fondly known by the citizens and children of Pasco as "Peanuts", which Mr. Fukuda and the people of Pasco respectfully acknowledge as his nickname; NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.. The park being constructed between Third and Fourth Avenues and South of Lewis Street in Pasco is hereby named "Noburu Fukuda - Peanuts Park" in honor of Noburu "Peanuts" Fukuda. Section 2. That upon completion of the Park an appropriate commemorative plaque, applauding the continuous efforts and friendly good deeds of Noburu "Peanuts" Fukuda, be placed in the Park, Section 3.. That the plaque shall be placed in such a location and in such a manner that it may be easily read by all visitors to the park, especially the children; and that the plaque shall be retained therein for posterity so long as the park stands. Section 4., This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its approval as required by law. PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED this 3rd day of February , 1976. J r Mayor Attest; Leo E.
