HomeMy WebLinkAbout1012 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 1 01 2 A RESOLUTION STATING THE CITY OF PASCO'S CONCERN FOR. THE STATE LEGISLATURE SPENDING PRIORITY AND RE- QUESTING MORE FUNDS FOR THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Pasco in conjuction with the Benton -Franklin Good Roads Association has for many years advocated thrift in government, and WHEREAS, the City of Pasco has voiced it's opinion to State and Federal Govern- mental representatives as to controlled governmental spending, and WHEREAS, the City of Pasco in conjunction with the Benton -Franklin Good Roads Assocation believes legislature should alter its present spending priority by greatly increasing the Highway Department budget, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the legislature do everything in their power to fully fund the Highway Department for the coming years. Section 2. That additional funds be alloted the Tri -Cities area for road projects so direly needed. Section 3. That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the State Highway Department upon its passage. Section 4. That this Resolution be in full force and effect after its passage, as required by law. PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED this 6 day of Attes t: Leo E.
