RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION FIXING A TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
TO VACATE CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE URBAN
RENEWAL AREA EXCEPTING PUBLIC EASEMENTS WHERE
REQUIRED
WHEREAS, The City Council has determined it to be the best interests of
the City of pasco to vacate certain streets and alleys in the Urban Renewal Area
excepting public easements where required in order to promote the development and
WHEREAS, A public hearing is required on said vacation, now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a public hearing for vacating the following streets and
alleys in the Urban Renewal Area excepting public easements where required will be
before the City Council in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Pasco, Washington,
at the hour of eight (8) P.M., the sixteenth day of December, 1975.
1. That portion of Queen Avenue from the south right-of-way line of
East "A" Street to the north right-of-way line of the Burlington
Northern Railroad tracks, lying adjacent to Block 2 and 3, Steffins
Amended Addition as recorded in Volume B, Page 47, Book of Plats,
Franklin County, Washington.
2. That portion of Melrose Avenue from the southerly right-of-way line
of East "A" Street to the north right-of-way line of East "B" Street
lying southerly of the east -west centerline of the east -west alleys
of Blocks 1 and 2, of said Steffins Amended Addition together with
the westerly 50' of Melrose Avenue lying northerly of the east -west
centerline of the east -west alleys of Blocks 1 and 2, of said Steffins
Amended Addition.
3. The north -south and east -west alleys lying within Block 21 said
Steffins Amended Addition.
4. The southerly 10' of the east -west alley in Block 1, of said Steffins
Amended Addition lying between the east right-of-way line of Melrose
Avenue and a point that is 30 feet easterly from the east right-of-way
line of Melrose Avenue.
Section 2. That the City Clerk shall give notice of a public hearing on
said vacation as required by law.

Gentlemen:
Please be advised that in the regular meeting of December 11, 1975,
the Planning Commission recommended the vacation of certain streets
and alleys as provided in Resolution Number 1009.
The Planning Commission further recommended that the north/south alley
in Block 2 be retained as an easement.
