HomeMy WebLinkAbout0991 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 991 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PASCO INDICATING THE POLICY OF THE CITY OF PASCO IN UTILIZING SPACE IN THE EAST PASCO NEIGHBORHOOD FACILITY AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 927. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 927 was drawn and approved on July 3, 1973 at a time when the East Pasco Neighborhood Facility was anticipated to be located in the old Whittier School Building; and WHEREAS, Subsequent to that time, the plans changed and the East Pasco Neighborhood Facility is a new from -the -ground -up structure located at 205 South Wehe Avenue; Pasco, Washington; which is situated on that portion of the NW 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 28, Township 29 N., Range 30 E., W.M. described as follows: "Beginning at the NE corner of said subdivision; thence S. 0° 38' 42"W, along the E. line thereof 340.00 feet; thence N. 89°05'33" W. parallel to the N. line of said subdivision 791.09 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing N. 89°05'33" W. 485.55 feet to a point which is 40 feet E. of the W. line of said sub- division; thence S. 0°4642" W. parallel to and 40 ft. distant from said W. line 340.70 feet to a point on the N. line of Kurtzman City Park; thence S. 89009'48" E. along said N. line and along said N. line extended 549.83 feet; thence N. 9055'18" W. 346.19 feet to the true point of beginning; and that portion of the NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4, Section 28, Township 9 N. , Range 30 E. , W. M. , described as follows: Beginning at the NE corner of said subdivision; thence S. 0°38'42"W, along the E. line thereof 340.00 feet; thence N. 89005'33" W. parallel to the N. line of said subdivision 791.09 feet; thence S.09055-181- E. 346.19 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing S. 09055'18" E. 216.26 feet; thence S. 0046'42" W. 224.32 feet to a point on the N. line of Alton Street which is 688.45 feet from the E. line of said NW 1/4; thence N. 89009'48" W. along said N. line 163.30 feet to a point on the E. line of said Kurtzman City Park; thence N. 0°46'42" E. along the E. line of said park .436.70 feet to the NE corner of said park; thence S. 89009'48" E. along the N. line of said park extended 123.13 feet to the true point of beginning; all in the City of Pasco, County of Franklin, State of Washington; together with joint use of all on-site parking "; and WHEREAS, The East Pasco Neighborhood Facility Board of Directors should be aware of the jurisdictions who will lease space in the Neighborhood Facility; and i Resolution No. -2- Date: WHEREAS, It is in the best interest of the City of Pasco to provide services in the facility for which an amount should be paid to the Neighborhood Facility Fund equivalent to the lease amount to provide for maintenance and operation of the build- ing; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: Section 1. That the COMMUNITY SERVICES DIVISION will occupy 300 square feet of space (245 square feet of office/secretarial space and 55 square feet of waiting room space) when the building is ready for occupancy with an annual payment to the Neighborhood Facility Fund of $900 which is equivalent to the established lease rate for other occupants. Section 2. That the City will provide for the use of the MID -COLUMBIA REGIONAL LIBRARY 2,025 square feet of space when the building is ready for occupancy with an annual payment to the Neighborhood Facility Fund of $6,075, which is equivalent to the established lease rate for other occupants. For the balance of the 1975 budget year, payments are to be made from Social Security payments previously received by the City of Pasco for special library purposes. Subsequent payments are to be made in accordance with regular budget procedures. Operation of the library within the East Pasco Neighborhood Facility will be governed by and in accordance with the provisions set forth in l:he Agreement dated October 20, 1972 between the City of Pasco and the Board of Trustees of the Mid -Columbia Regional Library. Section 3. That Resolution Number 927 passed on July 3, 1973, be and hereby is repealed. Section 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect after its passage as re- quired by law.
