HomeMy WebLinkAbout0985 Resolutionr CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 985 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE IMPROVEMENT OF NORBART AVENUE FROM SYLVESTER STREET TO NIXON STREET, NIXON STREET FROM NORBART AVENUE TO FIFTH AVENUE, PARK STREET FROM ARTHUR AVENUE TO FOURTH AVENUE, MARGARET STREET FROM ARTHUR AVENUE TO FOURTH AVENUE, OCTAVE STREET FROM ARTHUR AVENUE TO FOURTH AVENUE, MARIE STREET FROM ARTHUR AVENUE TO FOURTH AVENUE, WITHIN THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON TO RESIDENTIAL STREET STANDARDS BY GRADING, CONSTRUCTING AND INSTALLING STORM • DRAINS, CURBS, GUTTERS, AND NECESSARY SIDEWALKS, CRUSHED BASE ROCK, CRUSHED LEVELING COURSE, ASPHALT CONCRETE SURFACING AND ALL INCIDENTAL WORK AND TO CREATE A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS ALL THE TOTAL COST AND EXPENSE OF CARRYING OUT SAID RESIDENTIAL STREET IMPROVEMENTS AGAINST THE PROPERTY SPECIALLY BENEFITED THEREBY; AND NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT TO SAID IMPROVEMENT TO APPEAR AND PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON MAY 6, 1975. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, to order residential street construction of grading, curbs, gutters, base rock, leveling course, asphalt concrete surfacing and all incidental wort; on the following residential streets in the City of Pasco, Washington to wit; Norbart Avenue from Sylvester Street to Nixon Street, Nixon Street from Norbart Avenue to Fifth Avenue, Park Street from Arthur Avenue to Fourth Avenue, Margaret Street from Arthur Avenue to Fourth Avenue, Octave Street from Arthur Avenue to Fourth Avenue Marie Street from Arthur Avenue to Fourth Avenue, to be constructed and installed in accordance with plans and specifications to be prepared by James S. Ajax, City Engineer. Section 2. The total approximate estimated cost such improvement�is $125,000. The total cost and expense of said improvement shall be borne and assessed against the properties specially benefited by such improvement to be included in the Local Improvement District to be established embracing as near as may be all of the pro- perties specially benefited by such improvement. Section 3. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, to create a Local Improvement District to include for the purpose of assessment, properties within the boundaries described as follows: That portion of Section 30 Township 9 North Range 30 East W.M., described as follows: Park Addition: Block 1; Block 2, Lots 1 to 8 inclusive; and Lots 25 to 32 inclusive. That portion of Section 29 Township 9 North Range 30 East W.P., described as follows: Gerry's Addition: Block 3 Sylvester Park Addition: Block 4; Block 5, Lots 1 to 30 inclusive; Block 6; Block 7, Lots 1 to 5 inclusive and 21 to 30 inclusive; Block 8, Lots 1 to 30 inclusive. Sydney's Addition: Lots 3 to 6 inclusive; Sylvester Addition: Block 6, Lots 1 to 16 inclusive; Together with all vacated streets and alleys attached to the above. Section 4. All persons who may desire to object to the improvement herein met:ioned are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council, to be held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Pasco, Washington, at 8:00 P.M., on May 6, 1975, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to said proposed improvement and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for said improvements. Section 5. James S. Ajax, City Engineer, is hereby directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to May 6, 1975, all data and information required by law to be submitted. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof, and APPROVED by the Mayor of the City this 15 day of April, 1975. DONALD D.
