A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PASCO IN SUP-
PORT OF FIRE INTEGRATION RESOURCES EFFORT.
WHEREAS, The Mayor did appoint Councilman Sam Hunt (Political/Legal) ,
subsequently Councilman Al Schor (Political/Legal); Councilman Jan Tidrick (Techni-
cal); Alvie Covington (Political/Legal) and John Fifer (Technical) to serve on the
F.I.R.E. Committee; and
WHEREAS, The City of Pasco did participate on a committee to study consoli-
dation of fire fighting services for the Tri -Cities; and
WHEREAS, The membership listed in paragraph one above, together with the
Fire Chief and City Manager, joined in a considerable number of meetings with like
memberships from the Cities of Kennewick and Richland and reported their progress
to the City Council at various times; and
WHEREAS, As a result of this effort the report presented by the Chairman of
the F.I.R.E, committee was furnished to the members of the Pasco City Council on
December 10, 1974; NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Pasco is on record extending its apprecia-
tion to the F.I.R.E. Committee and supports the five steps outlined in the attached
(Exhibit No. 1).
Section 2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be sent to the Mayors of the Cities
of Kennewick and Richland.
Section 3. That as a special expression of thanks from the City of Pasco, a copy of
this Resolution be forwarded to Ex -Councilman Sam Hunt for his excellent cooperation
while serving on this committee.
Section 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect after its passage as re-
quired by law.

FIVE STEP EFFORT TOWARDS IMPROVEMENTS
TO
CITIES OF PASCO, KENNEWICK & RICHLAND, WASHINGTON
FIRE SUPPRESSION SERVICES
AND
FIRE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
1) A three -City Fire Communications and Records Center
should be installed in the Kennewick City Hall, or that
the Communications and Records Center could later be
relocated to another mutually agreeable site.
2). Richland and Kennewick should proceed with a jointly
funded Fire Station in the general vicinity of Columbia
Center Shopping Center.
3) A three -city Fire Training Center should be constructed
adjacent to the new Fire Station to save duplication of
basic facilities, and provide supervision of the training
facilities .
4) The management of the joint use facilities to be administered
in accord with this Administrative Mechanism:

Center in 1975;
The Fire Station in 19 7 6;
The Fire Training Center in 1977;
