HomeMy WebLinkAbout0982 Resolutionr RESOLUTION NO. 982 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON BANNING SMOKING IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND CONFERENCE ROOM OF PASCO CITY HALL. WHEREAS, The Surgeon General of the United States has determined that smoking is dangerous to health; and WHEREAS, Many people visit City Hall and may have individual health problems; and WHEREAS, Itis the desire of the City Council to respect the welfare of others and protect the health of people while visiting in City Hall; NOW, THEREFORE: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That "No Smoking" signs shall be placed in the Council Chambers and the Conference Room of City Hall. Section 2. That the "No Smoking" signs placed in the areas of City Hall as set out in Section 1 do set out de facto that there will be no smoking in these places . This applies to smoking of cigarettes, cigars or pipes . Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after its approval as required by law.
