HomeMy WebLinkAbout0965 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 965 A RESOLUTION NAMING A SINGLE CONTACT FOR SCAN SERVICES IN THE CITY OF PASCO; AUTHOR- IZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN THE AGREE- MENT FOR SCAN SERVICES AND PROVIDING FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF THE EXECUTED COPIES OF SAID AGREEMENT. WHEREAS, The State Department of General Administration through the Association of Washington Cities has offered "SCAN" service to the City of Pasco; and WHEREAS, The City of Pasco desires to participate on the "SCAN" line which will facilitate easier contact with State offices and also be more economical; and WHEREAS, To implement this participation the Department of General Administration requests that one individual be named as the single contact or "SCAN Coordinator" for the City of Pasco; that they "Agreement for SCAN Services" be executed on behalf of the City of Pasco; and that they be assured of the authorization of the signer to obligate the City to payment for these services; NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City Manager of the City of Pasco (presently, Harry D. Kinzer) be and hereby is designated as the single contact or "SCAN Coordinator" for the City of Pasco. Any requests for SCAN service received from other individuals repre- senting the City of Pasco will be referred to the City Manager for approval and fur- ther coordination with the Department of General Administration. Section 2. That the City of Pasco enter into an,-imter-local agreement with the State Department of General Administration ("Agreement for SCAN Services"). Said Agree- ment forms have been furnished to the City of Pasco in triplicate. Section 3. That the City Manager Harry D. Kinzer is hereby authorized to sign the Agreement on behalf of the City of Pasco and to obligate the City of Pasco to payment for these services. Section 4. That one fully executed copy of the Agreement for SCAN Services shall be returned to J. A. Reynolds, State Communications Services Manager, Department of General Administration, 218 General Administration Building, Olympia, Washington 98504; one copy shall be filed with the City Clerk and one copy to be retained by the City Manager's Office.
