A RESOLUTION CLARIFYING THE PROPERTY
ACQUISITION PLANS UNDER THE URBAN
RENEWAL PROGRAM
RESOLUTION NO. 919
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco, through its Department of Urban
Renewal, has purchased certain properties to facilitate the carrying out
of its Urban Renewal Project and the City has contracted with the United
States Department of Housing and Urban Development in these endeavors,
and
WHEREAS, it is now deemed necessary to clarify the City's
property acquisition program, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pasco wishes to
designate all properties which it has acquired since the Urban Renewal
Project has been in the execution stage, and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to purchase additional parcels of
property in order to insure safe, sound and sanitary housing in the project
area and to further insure that the project will meet the goals outlined in
the Application of April, 1968
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does resolve as follows:
Section 1. The properties which are shown in red on the attached
Exhibit "A" which is hereby made a part hereof have been purchased by the
City through it's Urban Renewal Department to remove blighting influences,
eliminate overcrowded conditions and to minimize financial hardships.
Section 2. The properties which are shown in green on Exhibit "A"
are to be purchased by the City through it's Urban Renewal Department in
order to further remove blighting influences, to eliminate other overcrowded
conditions and to minimize other financial hardships.

1 Section 3. This resolution with Exhibit "A" shall replace all
2 earlier property acquisition plans and/or maps which were included in
3 previous applications and/or amendatories filed with the Department of
4
Housing and Urban Development.

Section 4. This Resolution with attachments shall be forwarded
6
7 to the Area Office of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
