HomeMy WebLinkAbout0897 ResolutionI RESOLUTION No. 897 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IS NECESSARY FOR URBAN RENEWAL WHEREAS, the City. of Pasco has previously resolved, in Resolution No. 684 that certain blighted areas exist within the City, and that rehabilitation, redevelopment, or a combination thereof, is necessary in the interest of the public health, safety, morals, or welfare of the residents of the City of Pasco; AND WHEREAS, Resolution No. 729 has been adopted providing for public hearings to determine findings regarding Urban Renewal Areas; AND WHEREAS, Resolution No. 730 has been adopted approving the Urban Renewal Plan and feasibility of relocation; AND WHEREAS, RCW 35.81. 080 requires that before a municipality may acquire by condemnation any interest in real property for an urban renewal project, a resolution that certain real property is necessary for the purposes of urban renewal, and that the certain real property listed below is in fact necessary for the Urban Renewal Project; and the City of Pasco has been unable to acquire the below described parcels by negotiation and purchase; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The acquisition of the following described parcels of real property is necessary for the purpose of carrying out the Urban Renewal Project previously adopted by the City of Pasco: The west 20 feet of The North 60 feet of Lot 8, Block 3, Acre Park Addition to Pasco, according to plat thereof recorded in Volume B of Plats, page 11, in Franklin County, Washington. The west 20 feet of Lot 8, except the north 60 feet thereof, Block 3, Acre Park Addition to Pasco, according to plat thereof recorded in Volume B of Plats, page 11, in Franklin County, Washington. Lot 3, Block 98, Pasco Land Company's First Addition to Pasco, according to the official plat thereof recorded in Volume B of plats, page 11, in Franklin County, Washington. Section 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect after its passage as required by law. PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED as provided by law this 2 day of May 1972.
