Mr. M. B. Winegar
City Manager
City of Pasco
Dear Mr. Winegar:
I talked to Mr. Wright of E1 Pasco Natural Gas Company by telephone on
May 28, 1971. Mr. Wright stated that the company does not have any
minorities on the Pasco payroll at the present time. As vacancies
occur, qualified minorities will be urged to apply.
The company has a policy of hiring a percentage of minorities nation-
wide, but does not require each local office to do so.
I feel this sale will aid the Urban Renewal Agency in getting more
developers who will have jobs for the local people.
We are working on a sale to a local businessman who will have a payroll
of five or six men and they will all be from the black community.
Sincerely,
Leon Paull
Deputy Director
Department of Urban Renewal
