A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 816
TITLED "A RESOLUTION CREATING A PASCO POLICE
COMMUNITY RELATIONS ADVISORY COUNCIL FOR THE
CITY OF PASCO, PROVIDING FOR THE FORMATION
OF THE ADVISORY COUNCIL, METHOD OF APPOINT-
MENTS, TERM OF OFFICE, PURPOSE OF ADVISORY
COUNCIL, AND RESPONSIBILITIES THEREOF."
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . Section 2 of Resolution No. 816 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 2. Method of Selection.
Names of candidates for appointment to the Pasco
Police Community Relations Advisory Council shall
be presented to the Mayor from: Civic Organiza-
tions, Service Clubs, Business Organizations and
any other interested group. Membership shall be
selected so as to reflect all segments of the com-
munity. In addition the Chief of Police shall be a
member of the Council. "
Section 2. Section 9 of Resolution No. 816 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 9. Officers.
At the first regular meeting, in June of each year
(other than the initial year) a Chairman and a Secre-
tary shall be elected from the membership by popular
vote. "
Section 3 . Effective Date. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect after
its passage and approval as required by law.
