RESOLUTION N0. 821 A
A RESOLUTION of the City of Pasco
relating to a Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan.
WHEREAS, RCW 70.95 requires that each county within the State
of Washington in cooperation with the various cities located in such county
shall prepare a Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, each city shall (1) Prepare and deliver to the county
auditor its own solid waste plan or (2) Enter into an agreement with the county
pursuant to which the city shall participate in preparing a joint city -county
plan or (3) Authorize the county to prepare a plan for the city's solid waste
management for inclusion in the county plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco is desirous of participating with
the County under option ff; and
WHEREAS, the County of Franklin, working through the Benton -
Franklin Governmental Conference has agreed on a basic organization and preliminary
procedure to accomplish such a study; and
WHEREAS, the Benton -Franklin Governmental Conference has asked
its members to support such a study until- cost estimates are available and
financial abilities are known.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF PASCO, acting

through its City Council, that the City hereby elected to use Option Number S
and hereby supports the County of Franklin in requesting the Benton -Franklin
Governmental Conference to initiate and prepare a Comprehensive Solid Waste
Management Study.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington on
