A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE TRI -_CITIES SENIOR
CITIZENS AND SUPPORTING A REQUEST FOR FEDERAL
FUNDS FOR THE FOURTH PROJECT YEAR.
WHEREAS, The Tri -City Senior Citizens have proven many time their
courage and resourcefulness by their collective projects, depicting their youth-
ful spirit; and
WHEREAS, The City of Pasco has offered its full moral support and finan-
cial support within its range of .limited funds; and
WHEREAS, Further financing of the Tri -City Senior Citizens Center, Inc. ,
is necessary to sufcessfully fund the Fourth Project Year; and
WHEREAS, The Fourth Year is limited to a highly successful project pro-
gram showing significant promise of: continued benefit to our Senior Citizens and
a contribution to a network of comprehensive co-ordinated service, NOW, THERE -
THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section I.. The City Council of the City of Pasco do hereby support in full, the re-
quest by the Tri -City Senior Citizens Center, Inc. , for Federal Funds for the Fourth
Project Year.
Section 2. That said request receive support of the Washington State Council on
Aging, State Department of Public Assistance.
Section 3. That copies of this Resolution be forwarded to our Congressmen, Sister
Cities and the Washington State Council on Aging as encouragement in support and
ultimate funding of this worthy project
Section 4. This Resolution shall be in force and effect after its passage as re-
quired by law.
PASSED by the City Council. and APPROVED as provided by law this 4
day of February ,1970.
