A RESOLUTION REQUESTING LEGISLATION TO
CONTINUE THE URBAN ARTERIAL PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Urban Arterial Program has been beneficial to
cities and towns in the past by producing road and street improvements,
and
WHEREAS, if the program is to be continued the Washington
State legislature must approve legislation at its present session,
and
WHEREAS, such legislation will be introduced by Representative
Al Leland,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PASCO does resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the Washington State Legislature develop and
approve such legislation as is necessary during its 1970 session to
continue the Urban Arterial Program.
Section Z. That a certified copy of this Resolution be sent to
Representative Al Leland with instructions that the City of Pasco has
found the Urban Arterial Program beneficial in the past and needed in
the future, and joins with all other cities and towns in encouraging
continuation of the program.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be in force and effect after
its passage as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED as provided by law

Dear Sir:
At the regular meeting of the Pasco City Council, held February-3,
1970, they adopted Resolution No. 310 which respectfully requests
the Legislature to continue the Urban`Afierial Program.
Our past relationship with the Urban Arterial Program has been
most beneficial, and it is our fervent hope that the Program is
continued for the betterment of cities in the State of Washington.
