HomeMy WebLinkAbout0806 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. -SQ6 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING "COURTESY PARKING" IN THE CITY OF PASCO. WHEREAS, the City of Pasco maintains parking meters in the down- town business district, and WHEREAS, the Pasco Chamber of Commerce has proposed a "Courtesy Parking" system as set forth herein, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interests of the City to try "Courtesy Parking", NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 . The City of Pasco shall accept "Courtesy Parking" enve- lopes provided by the Chamber of Commerce, and shall further accept lawful United States coins from the Chamber of Commerce. Section 2. The City employee charged with the duty of policing park- ing meters shall use the coins for correcting parking violations up to a period of one hour and shall place the Chamber envelope in a conspicuous place on the windshield of the vehicle. Section 3. No overparked vehicle shall be entitled to more than one "Courtesy Parking" correction in any calendar day regardless of location. Section 4. "Courtesy Parking" shall not apply in parking zones marked for limited time occupancy. Section 5. The policy set forth in this Resolution shall terminate at midnight, January 10, 1971. Section 6. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect after its passage as required by law. PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED as provided by law this 16th day of December, 1969. G. E.
