HomeMy WebLinkAbout0660 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 1660 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO TO VACATE THAT PORTION OF HENRY STREET LYING BETWEEN ARTHUR ANDN. FOURTH STREETS SUBJECT TO AN EASEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION', REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES. WHEREAS., The City Council has held a public hearing on September 7, 1965, on the vacation of Henry Street lying between Arthur and North Fourth Streets, and there being no protests to said vacation, and WHEREAS, it would appear to be in the best interests of the City to vacate said street if the bond issue for a new courthouse is approved by the voters at the November 2, 1965, election, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. If the bond issue for the construction of a new courthouse is approved by the voters at the November 2, 1965, election, the City Council shall at its first meeting thereafter, vacate that portion of Henry Street lying between Arthur and N. Fourth Streets, subject.to an easement for the construction, repair and maintenance of public utilities and services, by proper ordinance pursuant to the general laws of the State of Washington regarding street vacations. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage as required by law. PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED as provided by law this 21 day of September, 1965.
