HomeMy WebLinkAbout0629 Resolution/ _7 d, �_ __� RESOLUTION NO. ,629 A RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTIONS I AND 2 OF RESOLUTION NO. 368, AND,PASCO _CITY CODE SECTIONS 1-10..0.2 AND 1-10. 04, BY INCREASING- THE NUMBER OF COMMISSIONERS FRO 7 TO 11 ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PASCO AND.BEING A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 129 CREATING A CITY PLANNING COMMISSION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1 of Resolution No. 368 and Pasco -City Code Section 1-10. 02 are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. Pursuant to the authority conferred by Chapter 44 of the Session Laws of 1935 of the State of Washington, there is hereby created a City Planning Commission, consisting of eleven members who shall be selected as follows: Q�a .c x�et, TZ� 1"e The Mayo hall be an ex -officio member of the Commission during the period of his incumbency in such office; the other 10 members shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. " Section 2. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 368 and Pasco City Code section 1-10: 02 are hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2. The term of office of the 10 members appointed by the Mayor and con -firmed by the City Council shall be six years. " Section 3. The appointed members of the City Planning Commission now holding office shall continue in said office as if this Resolution were not amended. The terms of the new members shall be as follows: One shall hold office for a term of two years from date of appointment; one shallhold office for a term of four years from date of appointment; and two shall hold office for a term of six years from date of appointment; and thereafter the term of office for each appointed member shall lb.e for'�six years. Section 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect after its passage �as'-required by law. _ PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED as provided by law 19th this _ day of January, 1965.
