A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR..PAYMENTS ON THE PARKING METER
INSTALLATION DURING THE YEAR 1961.
WHEREAS, when the Budget for the year 1961 was made and adopted,
the estimated revenue from parking meters was established at $25, 000, and
WHEREAS, monies in excess of said estimated revenue are being
received because of the installation of a complete new metered parking system
using double head meters, coupled with .the abolition of the courtesy envelope
system,
WHEREAS, said installation by Dual Parking Meter Company is to be
paid by applying 50% of the revenue over the amount budgeted for the past
three years, prorated on a monthly basis until paid in full, and
WHEREAS, said improvement was not included in the 1961 Budget,
and
WHEREAS,. expenditures from funds received in excess of estimated
revenues shall be permitted when ,authorized by resolution in accordance with
R, C. W, 35.33. 1.20, NOW,, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF P'ASCO DO RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Under the Police`Department,.-there shall be expended from the
Current Expense: Fund bebre the end of 1961, the sum of approximately
$4, 200 for Parking Meter I.nstallaiion,, to :comply with the provisions of the

contract between the City of Pasco and Dual Parking tiMeter Company out of
monies received in excess of estimated revenues; provided that the sums
paid shall not exceed the difference between the amount actually ,received by
the .City in Parking Meter Receipts and the sum of $25, 000 budgeted in 1961,
for Parking Meters under Current Expense E'.stimated Receipts;. and provided,
further, that only 50% of the revenue over the amount budgeted for the years
1958, 1959,. and 1960, prorated on a monthly basis, shall be paid on said
contract.
