HomeMy WebLinkAbout0460 ResolutionIt CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. � A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington, declaring its intention to improve N. Mead Avenue from the north line of W. Marie Street to the south line of W. Court Street, and W. Brown Street from the east line of N. Illinois Avenue to the west line of N. Oneonta Avenue, by the construction and installation of asphaltic concrete pavement 42 feet wide curb to curb, including crushed rock base, concrete gutter and concrete curb where necessary and storm sewer facilities, in- cluding catch basins, manholes and all necessary appurtenances, and to create a local improvement district to assess the cost and expense of said improvement against the properties specially benefited thereby; and notifying all persons who may desire to object to said improvement to appear and present their objections at a meeting the City Council to be held on Play lg6o. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, as follows: Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington to order the improvement of N. Mead Avenue from the north line of W. Marie Street to the south line of W. Court Street and W. Brown Street from the east line of N. Illinois Avenue to the west line of N. Oneonta Avenue by the construction and installation of asphaltic concrete pavement 42 feet wide curb to curb, including crushed rock base, concrete gutter and concrete curb where necessary and storm sewer facilities, including catch basins, man- holes and all necessary appurtenances. Section 2. That the entire cost and expense of the improve- ment shall be borne by and assessed against the properties specially benefited by such improvement to be included in the local improve- ' ment district to be established and to be known as "Local Improve- ment District No. 65,"the boundaries of such local improvement district being described as follows: Beginning at a point more particularly described as the intersection of the center- lines of West Court Street and the alley of Block 23, Pasco Improvement Cols. First Addition, thence southerly along the centerline of said alley to a point equidistant from the center- lines of W. Court Street and W. Brom Street; thence easterly to a point on the centerline of Oneonta Ave. equidistant from the center- lines of W. Court Street and W. Brown Street; thence southerly along the centerline of Oneonta Ave. to a point equidistant from the centerlines of W. Brown Street and West Marie Street; thence westerly along the south line of Lot 17, Block 18, Pasco Improvement Cols. First Addition to the centerline of the alley in said Block 18; thence southerly along said alley to the centerline of W. Marie Street; thence westerly along the center- line of W. Marie Street to a point equidistant ( from the centerlines of N. Illinois Ave. and N. Mead Ave.; thence -northerly to a point on the centerline of the utility easement in Block 14, Stadium Park Addition equidistant from the centerlines of N. Illinois Ave. and N. Mead Ave.; thence westerly along the centerline of the utility easement in said Block 14 to the centerline of N. Illinois Ave.; thence northerly along the centerline of N. Illinois Ave. to the inter- section of N. Illinois Ave. and the extended centerline of the utility easement in Block 15, Stadium Park Addition; thence easterly along the centerline of said easement to a point equidistant from the centerlines of N. Illinois Ave. and N. Mead Ave.; thence northerly through Blocks 15 and 16, Stadium Park Addition to a point on the centerline of W. Court Street equidistant from the centerlines of N. Illinois Ave. and N. Mead Ave.; thence easterly along the centerline of W. Court Street to the point of beginning. The City shall not be liable for any portion of the cost and expense of said improvement,except that if the actual cost and expense of the improvement shall exceed $24,750.00, the City shall contribute may -2- is from the appropriate City fund, any amounts in excess of $24,750.00. Section 3. That all persons who may desire to object to the improvement herein mentioned are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Pasco, Washington, at 8:00 o'clock p.m., on the 31st day of May, 1960, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to said proposed improvement and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for said improvement. Section 4. . George Fisher, the City's Engineer, is hereby directed to submit to the City Council at or prior to said 31st day of May, 1960, all data and information required by law to be submitted.
