WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Pasco contemplates cons-
tructing a 500 -foot southwesterly extension of runway 2L -20R and the
patching, sealing and resurfacing of runway 11L -29R at the Pasco Airport
as soon as possible, and
WHEREAS it is estimated that said work will cost approximately
$197, 714. 21, with approximately the sum 'of $102,119. 39 to be paid by '
the United States of .Anne r,i.ca in matching monies and approximately

the sum of $95, 594%,82- to `be paid, by the 'City of Pasco, and
WHEREAS revenue bonds will: be- sold and repaid out of airport
revenues to cover the Cityls share of the cost of said project or other
C.i.ty monies will be made available, for said -project in the event
revenue bonds are not sold, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASC.O.DO RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That application be made to the appropriate agency of
the United States of America to obtain matching monies in. the amount
of approximately $102, 119. 39 for constructing a 500 -foot southwesterly
extension of runway 2L -20R and for patching, sealing and resurfacing
runway 11L -29R. at the Pasco Airport, Pasco, Washington.
Section 2. That the City will sell revenue bonds to be repaid by
airport revenue -s to finance its share of the cost of said improvements
or will use other City funds to finance its share of the cost of said
improvements in the event revenue bonds are not sold.
Section 3. That this resolution is made for the purpose of satisfying
�►° the requirements of the United States of America in making application
for matching monies for said improvements.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this 29th
day of December, 1959.
