HomeMy WebLinkAbout0433 ResolutionRESOLUTION NO. 433 A RESOLUTION FIXING A TIME FOR PUB- LIC HEARING ON A PETITION TO VACATE STREETS AND ALLEYS AS SET FORTH IN THE PETITION FOR VACATION OF STREETS AND ALLEYS ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF BY REFERENCE. WHEREAS'a Petition has been filed with the .City Clerk signed by the owners of more than two-thirds of the private property abutting upon the part of the aforesaid streets and alleys sought to be vacated, and WHEREAS a public hearing is required on said Petition, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That a Public Hearing on said petition for vacating the above described streets and alleys will be held before the City Council in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in Pasco, Washington, at the hour of eight (8) P.M., the 17th day of February, 1959. Section 2. That the City Clerk shall give notice of a Public Hearing on said petition as required by law. PASSED and APPROVED this 20thday o January, 1 59. i Mayo , Pro Tem ATTEST: City Cle AP,PROVED AS TVIFVR4: ity Attorney I i PETITION FOR VACATION OF STREETS AND ALLEYS To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Pasco: The undersigned.commissioners for the Port of Pasco Port District hereby petition'the City Council to vacate certain streets and'alleys located in THE RIVERSIDE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PASCO as shown in Volume B, Page 44, Records of the County Auditor, Franklin County, Washington, being more particularly de- scribed as follows: 1. Columbia Street, now Fifth Avenue, from a point on the South boundary of Washington Street toia point on the North boundary of vacated River Avenue. 2. Madison Street, now Sixth Avenue, from a point on the North line of Washington Street to a point on the 26 tth line of Ainsworth Avenue. Also, that portion of Madison Street, now Sixth Avenue, from a point on the North line of vacated River Avenue to a point on the South line of Lot 9, Block 40, said Addition, said point being the southerly boundary of street now vacated. 3. Olympia Street, now Seventh Avenue, from a point on the North boundary of Washington Street to the South -boundary of Ainsworth Avenue. 4. Vine Street from a point on the North boundary of Washington Street to the South boundary of Ainsworth Avenue. 5. Grand Street, now Eighth Avenue, from a point on the North boundary of Washington Street to a point on the South boundary of Ainsworth Avenue. 6. River Avenue from a point extended Southerly along the West boundary of Block 36, Riverside Addition, to the Western terminus of said River A-rcnue . 7. The alleys in Block 19 lying between Lots 4; 5, 6, and 7, and between Lots 10, 11, 12, and 13, lying in the Westerly half of said Block 19, Riverside Addition. 8. All alleys in Blocks 20, 21, 22, 23, 36, 40, 41, and 18 of said River- side Addition, and any alleys not already vacated in Blocks 37, 38, and 39 of said Riverside Addition. Attached hereto sketch -showing streets and alleys to be vacated colored in.red, also showing streets and alleys already vacated by previous ordinance. All lands adjoining the above requested vacations are owned by the Port District except Lots 1 and 2 of Block 40, which is held by the City of Pasco and will have access to Washington Street. The vacations of the streets and alleys are necessary in order that the Port District may carry on improvements in the area in line with their master plan.
