RESOLUTION NO.2I
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE -MAYOR OF THE CITY
OF PASCO TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO THE
UNITED. STATES OF AMERICA OF THE FOLLOWING DES-
CRIBED. PROPERTY:
TRACT XX -3455, MORE FULLY DESCRIBED
AT EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO AND
BY THIS R.EFER.ENCE MADE A PART HEREOF.
WHEREAS, the. construction of McNary Lock and Dam on the Columbia
River necessitated the relocation. of certain facilities consisting of intake. lines of
the municipal domestic.water. system, operated and maintained by the City of
Pasco, Washington; and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco and the -United Statesof America did on the
20th day of September 1955 enter into a. relocation contract No. DA -45-164
CIVENG-56-5 setting forth the obligation of each party in connection with the re-
location of said facilities; and
WHEREAS, under Article 1, paragraph (e) of said contract the City of
Pasco"is obligated to -convey to the United States all of its right, title and inter-.
est in and to the land within the McNary Lock and Dam Project boundary occu-
pied by its facilities_ prior to relocation; and
WHEREAS, under. Article II, .of said contract the United States of Amer-
ica is obligated to pay to the City of Pasco the entire sum of $12i 000. 00, for all
of its right,.title and interest.in and to the land within the McNary Lock and Dam
Project boundary occupied by its facilities prior to the location, .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE -.CITY OF,PASCO
DO RESOLVE. AS, FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor of the City -of Pasco is hereby"authorized to exe-
cute a. Quitclaim Deed .to the United States of America of the following described
land: .
Tract XX -3455, more fully described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and by this reference made a part hereof.
Section 2. The execution and delivery of the said Quitclaim Deed will
not be deemed complete until the United States of America has paid to the City of
