CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON
A RESOLUTION TO DEED TO THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, MILITARY DEPARTMENT,
LOTS 18 to 22, BOTH INCLUSIVE, AND LOTS l to 6, BOTH INCLUSIVE, BLOCK
41 PLAT OF PASCO, AS.FILED IN ThE.OFFICE OF THE AUDITOR OF FRANKLIN
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, MARCH -11, 1889, AND WHICH. PLAT IS SOMETIMES.KNOWN
AS NORTHERN:PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY'S PLAT OF PASCO, WASHINGTON. .
WHEREAS, the State of Washington, Military Department, is planning
to construct an Armory on the following described real estate, situated
in the City of Pasco, County of Franklin, State of Washington,'to wit:
and
Lots 18 to 22, both inclusive, and Lots 1 to 6,
both inclusive, Block 4, Plat of Pasco, as filed
in the office of.the County Auditor of Franklin
County, Washington, March 11, 1889, and which
plat is sometimes known as Northern Pacific Rail-
road Company's Plat of Pasco, Washington,
WHEREAS, the above described property is owned by the City of Pasco;
and
WHEREAS, only a portion of the above-described real property is
necessary at this time for the construction of the Armory, and
WHEREAS, the State of Washington, Military Department, has agreed
that the City of Pasco shall have the use of that portion of the real
property not necessary for the construction of an Armory, to wit:
Lots 1 to 6, both inclusive, Block 4, Plat of Pasco,
as filed in the office of the County Auditor of Franklin
County, Washington March 11, 1889, and which plat is
sometimes known as Northern Pacific Railroad Company's
Plat of Pasco, Washington, .
until such time as the Street Department Shops are removed to another
location, and until such time as the contemplated vehicle storage
building is to be constructed; and
WHEREAS, this deed is to be made upon the condition that the title
to the above real estate shall automatically revert to and revert in the
Grantor herein in the event an armory is not constructed upon the above
described real estate on or before five (5) years from the date of this
instrument, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interests of the City of Pasco
and the residents thereof that the above-described property be deeded
to thb State of Washington, Military Department, NOW, THEREFORE,.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, that the
above-described real property be deeded to the State of Washington,
Military Department, for use of the Organized Militia of the State of
Washington primarily, for the construction of a proposed Armory.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by the Mayor this 21st day
of April, 1953•
