A RESOLUTION AGREEING TO A PLAN APPROVED BY THE WASH-
INGTON STATE HIGHWAY COMSSION, DEPARTPMT OF HIGHWrAYS
FOR THE PROVISION OF AN ADEQUATE AND SAFE ROUTE OF
PRIMARY STATE HIGHITAY NUMBER 3 ON LEMS STREET IN THE
CITY OF PASCO BY THREE STAGES OF TRAFFIC AND PARKING
CONTROL.

WHEREAS, The Washington State Highway Commission, Department of Highways

has prepared a stage development PLAN or the utilization of
Lewis Street in the City of Pasco as the route of Primaxy State
Highway No. 3.
WHUZEAS, The anticipated growth and development of the City of Pasco and
the surrounding area will necessitate certain traffic and parking
controls indicated on the PLAN to move traffic with a minimum
of motor vehicle accidents and congestion*
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO: That the stage
development PLAN for the utilization of Lewis Street in the City
of Pasco as the route of Primary State Highway No. 3 be adopted.
?3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Pasco make
the necessary resolutions to place the first stage of the PLAN
into effect immediately upon the completion of the channeliza-
tion and signal installation at the intersection of Tenth
Avenue and Lewis Street, and the second and third stages of
the PLAN into effect at such time as traffic engineering in-
vestigation and/or the traffic volumes indicated on the PLAN
indicate that they are required in the interest of Public Safety.
