R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the United States Government is currently
engaged in the construction of McNary Dam on the Columbia River,
which will provide a slack water pool up river from such dam, and
WHEREAS, the City of Pasco will be adjacent to and front
upon such pool, when the same is formed, and
WHEREAS, it ,s.;deemed in'the best interests of the City
of Pasco and.the..residents thereof that jurisdiction of the front
lands adjoining such slack water pool be left with the City of
Pasco for.the use of the citizens of the City of Pasco and the
public at large, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE-IT'RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pasco,
that the Corps of Engineers of the United States Army or other
appropriate governmental agency be requested to set over to the
City of Pasco'all of that land fronting on such slack water pool
as may be located within the limits of the City of Pasco for the
administration and supervision of the.City of Pasco, and for the
use of the public as a recreational area.
