WHEREAS, The City of Pasco is contemplating and arranging for the
installation of a sewer disposal plant,and WHEREAS, It is necess-
ary to acquire a portion of the necessary property therefor,from
the Government of the Unites States and it is to the best inter-
ests of the City to procure the services of some person or persons
familiar with the proceedure of negotiating with the Gorverment
fdr the purchase of lands for municipal pruposes, and WHEREAS,it
is necessary to employ the services of an engineer to design said
sewer disposal plant:
NOW THEREFORE:
Be it resolved: That the firm of J.W.Cunningham
and Associates of Portland, Oregon, be and they are hereby desig-
nated and appointed the agents of the City of Pasco,Franklin County,
Washington for the purpose of negotiating with,and securing from
the Unites States Government,the necessary property for the inst-
alation of a sewer disposal and treatment plant for said City.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED;
That the said firm of J.W.Cunningham
and associates be retained as designing engineers for the purpose
treatment
of designing a sewer/and disposal plant for said City of,
Pasco,under terms of a contract to be entered into, and providing
a satisfactory contract can be negotiated with sa.id firm. '
