17HEREAS; The City Water Department is in immediate need of
a considerable amount of iron -pipe to keep pace with the rapidly
growing demands for Nater within the City,and VMERE'.AS; It is very
hard to rrocure pipe on the open market and deliveries can not
be had within a limit of two years; and j<<iHEREAS; The said City
'Nater Department now has a contract with the Pacific States
Castiron Pipe Company for the furnishing of pipe and can extend
its contract to cover an additional amount of pipe:
N&N THEREFORE:
Be it resolved by the city council of the City of Pasco:
that the City Water Department of the City of Pasco, be and it
is hereby authorized to extend and increase its contract with
the Pacific States Castiron Pipe Company,to�cover and include
such iron pipe as is needed by the said Water Department until
there is a better purchasing market for iron pipe or until further
action of the City Council.
