WHEREAS, The number of citizens of the city of Pasco has rapidly
increased and is steadily increasing and WHEREAS, the present police
force is inadequate to properly cope with the situation and properly
police the Oity and enforce the laws and it is urgent that more men
be employed as policemen in the City of Pasco:
NOW THEREFORE:
Be it resolved by the mayor and city council that
the Chief of Police be and he is hereby authorised to employ three
men in addition to the present police forme as permanent policemen
for the city of Pasco,to act in such capacity as the Chief of Police
may determone,such additional policement to be employed under,and
in accordance with the civil service laws and regulations for cities
of the third class, and with salaries in accordance with the present
rate or scale of pay for members of the police force.
Passed by the council this 6th da of January, 1948.
Approved by the mayor this day of January, 1948.
