WHEREAS, A portion of the south forty feet of East Lewis street,
in the city of Pasco,bordering,on the northwest quarter of the
southwest quarter of section 28,in township 9 north, Range 30,E
W.M.,has never been in any manner transfered to the City of Pasco,
and ',17HEREAS,The City of Pascua is desirous of securing title to
said strip of landand the owner,Richfield Oil Corporation,is will-
ing to deed said 4o foot strip of land to the City of Pasco for
the consideration of being allowed encroachment permits along the
entire strip so deeded,for the purpose of egress and ingress for
tuucks and cars:
NOV-7 THEREFORE:
Be it resolved by the mayor and city council of the
City of Pasco,that in consideration of their giving a quit claim
deed to that certain strip of land 40 feet in width from the center
of what is now East Lewis street,and lying along the north end of
the northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section 28, in
Township 9 North, Range 30. E.L.M. in Pasco Franklin County,State
of 11k'ashington,or so much thereof as now is owned by them,beinga
strip approximately 400 feet in length, the City of Pasco does
hereby grant to the Richfield Oil Corporation and their successors
in interest, an encroachment permit along the entire length of
the land deeded by said Corporation, for the use of their trucks,
cars and other equipment or.machinery,so long as the same is used
for oil storage,garages,warehouses purposes,filling stations and
other matters in connection with the storage and handling of gas-
oline,oils and other matters in connection therewith.
