AN ORDINANCE DEALING WITH THE SUBJECT OF PERSONNEL AND
SETTING SALARIES FOR CITY EMPLOYEES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That all non-union represented employees (Exhibit I and II)
shall receive a nine and one-half (9.5%) percent rate of pay increase effective
January 1, 1980.
Section 2. No funds are provided in the 1980 budget for merit increases,
except for the following conditions:
(a) Entry Level (Level I) employees who satisfactorily complete the
required period of probation shall be eligible to move to the Competent Level
(Level II) in the salary schedule.
(b) Any unused personal service appropriation in a particular budget
account which results from employee changeover and downward compression in
the salary schedule, may, at the City Manager's discretion, be applied as a
merit increase to non -represented employees who qualify because of demonstrated
meritorious achievement above and beyond regular production or professional
norms.
Section 3. The current salaries of employees of the City shall be as set
forth in Exhibits I, II and III attached. Any reference to an exhibit or a contract
incorporates the same by reference.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and
publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 17 day of
December , 1979.
