AN ORDINANCE relating to personnel by amending Sections 2.08.020
and 2.42.020 of the Pasco Municipal Code.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 2.08.020 of the Pasco Municipal Code
(prior code section 1-5.08) be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
P.M.C. 2.08.020 COMPENSATION. The city attorney shall receive
as compensation the regular salary for the position. The city shall
pay for professional dues of the city attorney. Compensation for any
attorney not an employee of the city shall be as provided in the
agreement for services with the attorney. The city manager or his
designee is authorized to enter into such agreements.
Section 2. That Section 2.42.020 of the Pasco Municipal Code
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
P.M.C. 2.42.020 EXCLUSION. This chapter shall not apply to
the following offices:
Councilman, police judge, city attorney not serving full-
time, and members of commissions and boards, except as it
applies to the personnel board, and further except that
the salary and benefits provided herein shall be provided
the police judge in the same manner as they are for part-
time or regular employees.
Section 3. All former acts in accordance with this amending
ordinance are hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 4. This'ordinance shall be in full force and effect after
its passage and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 17 day
of December 1979.
