HomeMy WebLinkAbout2077 OrdinanceFAILED JULY 16, 1979 ORDINANCE NO. ."2077__ AN ORDINANCE providing for salaries of the mayor and city councilmen and for reimbursement of expenses by*enacting new Sections 2.16.010 and 2.16.020 of the Pasco Municipal Code and repealing Ordinance No. 1614. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 2.16.010 of the Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is hereby enacted to read as follows: P.M.C. 2.16.010 COMPENSATION OF MAYOR AND OF COUNCILMEN. (1) The councilman elected by the city council to serve as mayor of the city shall receive a salary of Four Hundred Eighty & 00/100 ($480.00) Dollars per month which amount shall include the salary paid to him as a city councilman. (2) Each councilman shall receive a salary of Two Hundred Forty & 00/100 ($240.00) Dollars per month. (3) These salaries shall not become effective until the expiration of the term now being served by any incumbent councilman or mayor. For such councilmen their salaries shall remain at One Hundred Sixty & 00/100 ($160.00) Dollars per month until the expiration of their term and for such a major his salary shall remain at Three Hundred Twenty & 00/100 ($320.00) Dollars.per month until the expiration of his term. Section 2. That Section 2.16.020 of the Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is hereby enacted to read as follows: P.M.C. 2.16.020 REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES. In addition to their salaries, the mayor and each councilman shall receive .reimbursement for their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of the duties of their office.* Such reimbursement shall be allowed when approved by the council. Section 3. That Ordinance No. 1614.passed by the City Council of the City of Pasco on the 4th day of December, 1973, is hereby repealed in full. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this day of 1979.
