AN ORDINANCE relating to parking by enacting new Section 10:56.111
of the Pasco Municipal Code.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 10.56.111 of the Pasco .Municipal Code
be and the same is hereby enacted to read as .follows:
P.M.C. 10.56.111 RESERVED PARKING - OFFICIAL CITY iIEHICLES:
The parking restrictions provided in Section 10.56.110 shall not apply
to the first three parking stalls west from Third Avenue on the south
side of Clark Street when signs are erected giving notice of the
restrictions contained in this section. The first three stalls on
the south side of Clark Street west of Third Avenue shall be reserved
for the parking of authorized Official -City Vehicles. _
No other vehicle shall park in the parking stalls described above
at any time. Each day or portion thereof that an unauthorized vehicle
is parked in the stalls described above shall be a separate violation.
Any unauthorized vehicle parked in violation of this section shall be
declared a nuisance. No person shall park a vehicle in violation of
this section, and, in the alternative, the registered owner of the
vehicle shall be responsible for the penalties imposed herein against
the vehicle. A violation of this section shall be a civil violation
with a fine of not less than ten & 00/100 ($10.00) dollars and not more
than fifty & 00/100 ($50.00) dollars for each separate violation.
The city declares that the stalls described above shall be a tow -
away zone and that any unauthorized vehicle parked in the stalls
described above shall be towed away when a sign or signs giving
appropriate notice has been erected. In addition to the civil penalties
provided herein, the person parking the vehicle in violation of this
section and/or the registered owner -of the vehicle parked in'violation
of this section shall be responsible for all of the costs associated
with the towing and storage of any vehicle parked in violation of this
section.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
after its passage and publication as required by law.
