HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014 Ordinancer ORDINANCE NO. 2014 s AN ORDINANCE adopting a salary schedule for members of the International Union of Operating Engineers (I.U.O.E.) who are employed with the city of Pasco for the year 1979 and amending Ordinance No. 1916. WHEREAS, the city council has reviewed the salaries of the members of the International Union of Operating Engineers (I.U.O.E.) who are employed with the city of Pasco and finds it in the best interest of the city to raise said salaries; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 2.42.600, Exhibit V, of the Pasco Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: EXHIBIT "V" 1979 I.U.O.E, SALARYSCHEDULE SALARY Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4' Step 5 Step 6 GRADE NO. 1-6 mo. 6-12 mo. 13-24 mo. 25-36 mo. 37-48 mo. 4 years 45-P Foreman 35-P Chief Groundsman Chief Mechanic Chief Sewer P1. Operator 32-P Groundsman I Heavy Equipment Operator Mechanic Meter Repairman Sewer Plant Operator Water Plant Operator 28-P Groundsman II Light Equipment Operator Meter Reader Warehouseman Water Serviceman 25-P Groundsman III 1395 1421 1447 1473 1499 1525 1242 1268 1294 1320 1346 1371 1190 1216 1242 1268 1294 1320 1138 1164 1190 1216 1242 1268 1087 1112 1138 1164 1190 1216 NOTE 1: At initial employment pay at Step 3 may be given if the person has a two-year certificate or at Step 5 if the person has a four-year degree in an applicable field from a recognized college (not applicable to management level). -2 - NOTE 2: The starting date to compute step raises for promotions or for new employees shall be the first of the month subsequent to the date of promotion or new hire, except that if such promotion or hire is on the first day of any month, that day shall be considered the starting date. NOTE 3: Any promotion shall result in at least a one-step salary adjustment but not less than the starting pay for the job. Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon January 1, 1979. 18 PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this day of December 1978.
