AN ORDINANCE relating to parking on streets and City of Pasco parking
lots, regulating or prohibiting parking in certain
locations and at certain times by amending Pasco Municipal
Code 10.56.040, 1056.060, 10.56.080, 10.56.110 and by
enacting a new section to the Pasco Municipal Code to be
referred to as 10.56.035
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That section 10.56.035 of the Pasco Municipal Code
be and the same is hereby enacted to read as follows:
P.M.C. 10.56.035 PUBLIC HOLIDAYS. Public holidays within the
meaning of this chapter shall be as follows:
HOLIDAY
New Year's Day
Lincoln's Birthday
Washington's Birthday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Veteran's Day
Thanksgiving Day
Day after Thanksgiving Day
Christmas
DATE TO BE OBSERVED
January 1st
February 12th
Third Monday in February
Last Monday in May
July 4th
First Monday in September
November 11th
Fourth Thursday in November
Fourth Friday in November

When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the Friday immediately preceding
such holiday shall be observed as the holiday. When a holiday falls on
a Sunday, the Monday immediately following shall be observed as the
holiday.
Section 2. That Section 10.56.040 (Ordinance 1824 §8, 1976:
prior code §8-34.16) of the Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is
hereby amended to read as follows:
P.M.C. 10.56.040. When signs are erected in each block giving
notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle between the hours
specified and within the district or upon any of the streets specified
or described in section 10.56.090, Schedule IV, on any day except
Sundays and public holidays.
Section 3. That Section 10.56.060 (Prior Code §8-34.24) of the
Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
P.M.C. 10.56.060 PARKING TIME LIMITED ON CERTAIN STREETS.
When signs are erected in each block giving notice thereof, no person
shall park a vehicle for longer than two hours at any time between the

hours of eight -thirty a.m., and five -thirty p.m., of any day except
Sundays and public holidays and within the district, upon any street,
or upon any city of Pasco parking lot described in section 10.56.110,
Schedule VI.
Section 4. That Section 10.56.080 (Ordinance 1943 §l, 1978;
Ordinance 1939 §l, 1978; Ordinance 1808 91, 1976; prior code §8-42.12)
of the Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
P.M.C. 10.56.080. SCHEDULE III - PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL
TIMES ON CERTAIN STREETS. In accordance with Section 10.56.030, and
when signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall at any
time park a vehicle upon any of the following described streets or
parts of streets:
Agate.Street
- Between 4th and 5th Avenues
Court
Street
- From 17th Avenue west to State Highway
12 (the By -Pass Highway)
Lewis
Street
- From 1st Avenue, seventy feet east
Lewis
Street
- 9th Avenue to 11th Avenue
Ruby
Street
- Between 4th and 5th.Avenues
10th
Avenue
- From "B" Street to and including
the Intercity Bridge
20th
Avenue
- West side of Avenue, from one hundred
fifty feet north of Court Street to one
hundred fifty feet south of Sylvester
Street
Section 5. That Section 10.56.110 of the Pasco Municipal Code be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
P.M.C. 10.56.110 SCHEDULE VI - PARKING TIME LIMITED AT CERTAIN
PLACES. In accordance with Section 10.56.060 and when signs are erected
giving notice thereof, no persons shall park a vehicle for a period
of time longer than two hours between the hours of eight -thirty a.m.,
and five -thirty p.m., of any day except Sundays and public holidays
within the district, upon any city parking lot, or upon any streets
or parts thereof as follows:
3rd Avenue - From Columbia Street to Clark Street
4th Avenue - From Columbia Street to Bonneville Street
5th Avenue - From Lewis Street to Clark Street
Columbia Street - From 2nd Avenue to 5th Avenue
Lewis Street - From 2nd Avenue to 5th Avenue
Clark Street - From 2nd Avenue to 5th Avenue
The city parking lot located south of the alley between
Bonneville and Clark Streets and north of Clark Street
and lying approximately in mid -block east of 4th Avenue
and west of 3rd Avenue.

The city parking lot located south of Clark Street
and north of the alley between Lewis and Clark Street
and lying approximately in mid -block east of 4th Avenue
and west of 3rd Avenue.
The -city parking lot located north of Columbia Street
and east of 4th Avenue lying generally in the southwest
corner of the block bounded by the aforementioned streets,
Lewis Street, and 3rd Avenue.
Each two hour period or portion thereof in excess of two hours is.a
separate violation. Violators of the two-hour parking restrictions
shall be fined two dollars.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
after its passage and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 6 day
of November , 1978.
