"General Obligation Bonds, 1978"
Dear Pat:
I learned only yesterday of the unwillingness of
the County Auditor's Office to accept the ballot title in
the original resolution due to its length. This is a
problem that occasionally arises when an effort is made to
inform the voters as fully as possible in the ballot title
of precisely what is intended to be acquired. The alterna-
tive is to shorten the ballot title and leave the dissemination
of complete information to publicity prior to the election.
Accordingly, you will find enclosed a new ordinance
amending the ballot title in a manner which I have discussed
with Dorothy Towne who is satisfied with the modified language.
I recommend that the amendatory ordinance be adopted at the
next regular City Council meeting and that a certified copy
fh—eTle7oe promptly furnished to the County Auditor. We__a_ so
wou like o ave a certified co v to ether with certified
excerp s ot tHe menu es of the Council meeting re- ec`t

or in a e.
We regret any inconvenience and should there be further
questions, or if we can be of assistance, please call upon us.
