HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 1980 AN ORDINANCE relating to water rates and charges and private disposal systems by repealing Section 13.36.070 of Chapter 13.36 of the Pasco Municipal Code and by amending Sections 13.52.070, 13.52.190 and 13.52.230 of Chapter 13.52 of the Pasco Municipal Code. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 13.36.070 of the Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is hereby repealed. (Prior code §4-4.38) Section 2. That Section 13.52.070 of the Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 13.52.070 PERMIT REQUIRED - APPLICATION - FEE. Before commencement of construction of a private sewage disposal system, the owner shall first obtain a permit signed by an authorized employee of the Benton -Franklin Health Department. Such permit shall not be issued by the Benton -Franklin Health Department until: (1) The city has indicated to the applicant that a sanitary sewer system is not available to them; and (2) The plans, specifications and other information are satisfactory from a technical and public health standpoint and comply with all applicable rules and regulations. The city shall not issue a building permit for any structure served by a private disposal system until the building inspector is supplied with a copy of the permit indicating the Health Department's approval of the private disposal system design. (Prior code §4-4.14) Section 3. That Section 13.52.190 of the Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 13.52.190 SIZE - SLOPE. The size and slope of the building sewer shall be subject to the approval of the Director of Community Development or his authorized assistants, but in no event shall the diameter be less than four inches. The slope of such four inch pipe shall be not less than one-eighth inch per foot. (Prior code §4-4.38) Section 4. That Section 13.52.230 of the Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 13.52.230 PIPE JOINTS. All joints and connections shall be made gastight and watertight. (Prior code §4-4.46) Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and publication as required by law. -2 - PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco this 7th day of August , 1978.
