HomeMy WebLinkAbout1947 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 1.947 AN ORDINANCE relating to zoning and planning and.amending Section 22.88.010 of the Pasco Municipal Code. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 22.88.010 of the Pasco Municipal Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: 22.88.010 Amendments. The regulations, restrictions, and boundaries set forth in this title may from time to time be amended, supplemented, changed or repealed; provided, however, that no such action may be taken until after a public hearing in relation thereto, at which interested parties and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard. At least 10 days notice of time and place of such hearing shall be published in the newspaper of general circulation in the city. In addition thereto, each property owner of record within an area that would be effected by any amendment, supplement, change to or repeal of any provision of this title, or any property owner of record within three hundred feet of the area that will be effected by any amendment, supplement, change to or repeal of any provision of this title shall be notified of the hearing on the proposed amendment, supplement, change to or repeal of any provision of this title by , mail, - said notice to be posted at least 10 days prior to the date scheduled for the public hearing. This additional notice r P In case, however, of a protest against such change signed by the owners of 20% or more, either of the area of the lots including in such proposed change or those lots which are within 300 feet of the proposed zone change, and filed with the city clerk not less than one day from the day of the schedule hearing, such amendments shall not become effective except by the favorable vote of two-thirds of the city council. For the purpose of this paragraph the term "council" means the full council as constituted at the time such action is taken and not to the number of council members present or present and voting. Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED by the City Council this 20 day of 1978.
