ORDINANCE. NO. 1835
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC AND A.!kIENDING
TITLE 10 OF THE PASCO MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING THERETO A
NEW CHAPTER TO BE KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS CHAPTER 10.92 AND
ENTITLED "REGULATION OF TRAFFIC IN CITY PARKS".
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Title 10 of the Pasco Municipal Code be
and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a new chapter to be
known and designated as Chapter 10.92, entitled "Regulation of Traffic
in City Parks" and which shall read as follows:
10.92.010 PROHIBITION. It shall be unlawful for any person
to operate a motor vehicle or ride a horse or other beast of
burden upon park property owned and/or maintained by the
City of Pasco.
10.92.020 PARK PROPERTY DEFINED. As used in this chapter,
"park property" shall include all areas in the City of
Pasco that have been and are designated as city parks, the
City View Cemetery and the Pasco Municipal Golf Course.
10.92.030 EXCEPTIONS. Section 10.92.010 shall not apply
to those persons who have been granted permission by the
Director of Parks & Recreation of the City of Pasco to so
operate a motor vehicle or so ride a horse or beast of
burden upon city park property for any one or more of the
following reasons:
1. City emergency, public works and park department
vehicles.
2. Golf carts on the municipal golf course.
3. Private vehicles or horses or other beast of burden in
connection with park department sanctioned activities.
10.92.040 PENALTY FOR VIOLATION. Any person in violation
of this Chapter shall be punished by a fine of not more than
Five Hundred Dollars or six months in jail, or by both such
fine and imprisonment.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective upon its
passage, approval and publication as required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Pasco, Washington,
