HomeMy WebLinkAbout1870 OrdinanceORDINANCE NO. 1O %(2 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE RENTAL POLICY OF THE CITY OF PASCO PUBLIC LIBRARY AND AMENDING SECTION 1(c) OF ORDINANCE NO. 1764. WHEREAS, certain rules and regulations pertaining to the Rental Policy of the Pasco Public Library have heretofore been promulgated and approved by Ordinance No. 1764; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to require a damage deposit be posted by renters of the Pasco Public Library auditorium facilities when food and/or beverages are to be served; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Pasco to require a damage deposit in those instances; now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Rental Policy rules and regulations governing the rental and use of the Pasco Public Library auditorium facilities and Section 1(c) of Ordinance No. 1764 be, and the same are hereby, amended by changing the Pasco Public Library Rental Policy rules to read as follows: PASCO PUBLIC LIBRARY RENTAL POLICY The Edna Linbarger Auditorium with seating for 125 is open to any person or group of persons who wish to schedule the room for meetings or group activities. Reservation may be made through the.desk clerk. Any non-profit group may use the facilities without charge. Any other group shall pay a nominal fee of $10.00 plus tax for a four- hour period or fraction thereof. If the kitchen is used for anything more than coffee, an additional charge of $5.00 plus tax shall be charged. A deposit of $2.50 shall be required if a key is needed when the Library is closed. This deposit will be refunded when the key is returned. Alcoholic beverages shall not be used on the premises. In addition to the above charge, a $50.00 damage deposit may be charged when food and/or beverages are to be served or if the auditorium is to be used for other activities that could easily result in damage to the carpet, drapes or walls. Damage and/or extra cleaning charges will be subtracted from the damage deposit and the remainder returned to the organization, group or individual using the facility. If damage exceeds the $50.00 deposit, the organization, group, or individual will be billed for the additional costs of damage, repair, or cleaning. Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PASCO, WASHINGTON, this 5th day of July , 1977.
